HOPE provides full educational support for hundreds of street children to attend government schools in Addis Ababa and Dessie. A total of 18 schools are involved, with the children being encouraged to attend schools closest to their familiar neighborhoods. The support provides school fees, supplies, clothing and a school lunch for each child. Every child comes from harsh conditions, but the support and guidance provided by HOPE affords them an opportunity to gain an education as a key step toward improving their situation. 350 children are enrolled in this program and the cost of educating a child per month is USD 5.00.
