HOPE operates its own schools in 6 different communities in Ethiopia, with over 2000 students. The largest, most established schools are in Addis Ababa and Dessie, with education from Kindergarten through grade 12, plus up to 3 years of specialized vocational education. Other locations currently have primary schools, with plans to expand to high school as the students progress through the grades. All of HOPE’s schools teach full day with all facilities in place, and are fully licensed and accredited by state governments. HOPE schools have consistently scored very high based on scholastic competitions and ongoing evaluation by authorities. The cost of sponsoring a child in HOPE’s schools is USD 5.00 per month.
