With about 100,000 street children on the streets of Addis Ababa, hunger among these children is a big problem. What a street child needs most after a hard and and cold night is breakfast, so this program feeds over 600 street children breakfast each day except Sunday in two locations in the inner city of Addis Ababa. After breakfast, the children are counseled and receive non-formal education, such as basic literacy and survival skills. A sizable number of them are recruited for formal schooling with our full support. The cost of providing breakfast for a child per month is USD 3.00.
