This step is the ultimate test of the goal of helping beneficiaries
become self-sufficient and stand on their own. Breaking
the cycle of poverty is a tremendous step for most of the
youngsters who graduate from our vocational program. A number
of them have made names for themselves as successful business
people and leaders in the community. We even have one millionaire
who started out as a street boy. HOPE enables sufficiency in
two ways -- career planning/placement and small-business
development. These mechanisms have helped many tell their
own stories of achievement and even abundance, such that
they can spare additional means to help loved ones and others
in need.
