The income that we earned from my mother’s roadside vending of goods was always smaller than the amount that we needed to sustain our lives. It was at this time of destitution that HOPE became the source of my livelihood by supporting me for the past nine years.” “Whenever I was in need of something, I would ask for it and they would provide. My food came from HOPE, and so did my clothing. HOPE also gave me an education that helped change my life. I could go to the teachers and/or staff and talk to them about my troubles.
