ELEMENTARY & SECONDARY EDUCATION

Education is core to HOPE's philosophy of transformation. In fact, HOPE has expanded from its original school site in Addis Ababa to now operating 7 elementary schools and one high schools in locations throughout Ethiopia, with over 4,000 students enrolled. The selection process for the incoming students is thorough and community-based. The students who are selected are among the most underprivileged in their community.  But, once a student is accepted into a HOPE school, we make every effort to ensure that the student becomes a self-sufficient adult.

In addition to HOPE operated schools, we provide services to students in public schools including psycho-social and spiritual service, food, uniforms, stationary, and tutorial classes.
